It is a truth universally acknowledged that the right performance speed is a must for every website.
After integrating the ALL SSD technology, some of the websites hosted by us increased their speed by 10 times. Numerous WordPress websites took advantage of the Memcached accelerating technology by using our SuperPlugin WordPress Manager in cPanel. Websites using CMS other than WordPress also benefited from Memcached Manager in cPanel. This month one more new tool for speeding up your website was added to cPanel.
SuperHosting Speed-Up is the new section in cPanel that will gather together different tools for speeding up your website. You can easily recognize it for its charming orange color.
The new section member – Redis Manager – is a tool allowing you to enable the Redis technology in your hosting account and speed up your website. Although Redis supports more system features and data types, it is just an alternative version of Memcached that works in a very similar way.
Redis and Memcached are almost equally effective caching methods. At present, Memcached can be activated for PHP versions up to 5.6. Redis is supported for PHP 7.0, 7.1. and older versions.
Combining PHP 7, Redis and the ALL SSD technology will definitely provide your website with a SUPER fast loading speed.
Redis can be enabled with just a few clicks in cPanel under the Redis Manager menu. Choose the amount of RAM that will be allocated for Redis and then click on the “Save and Enable” button. Make sure that the Redis PHP Module is enabled in cPanel -> PHP Manager so that PHP applications can properly work with the Redis server/technology.
After Redis activation in cPanel, you have to activate it
once again in the application/the website system (WordPress, Joomla!, Drupal, etc).

Meanwhile we will keep working on the new tools which we are about to release very soon in the SuperHosting Speed-Up section in cPanel. Great surprises are waiting for you…
