The new school year is here!
In this relation we decided to tell you more about an internationally awarded web project which is part of our free hosting program for educational purposes – Uchenici.BG.
The main characters of our story are Bulgarian students from the foreign language high school “Nikola Vaptsarov” in Shumen: Hristina Ivanova and Simona Hinkova from the 8th grade, group “a”, Maria Gancheva, Ognyan Simeonov, Simeon Hristov and Mirela Dancheva from the 10th grade, group “a” and their IT teacher Mrs. Dessislava Teneva. Together they presented a web project of their own at the international school festival CyberFair 2016 and won the gold in “Local Attractions” category.
The CyberFair competition engages students to explore their home countries and tell the world about them while collaborating with community members. They are driven towards using tools for creating a website to show what they have learned during the work process.
The students from “Nikola Vaptsarov” foreign language high school took part in the competition with a web project named “The Rock Treasures of Bulgaria”. On www.rocktreasures.uchenici.bg the youngsters are telling enchanting stories about some of the most famous Bulgarian rock treasures – The Stone Forest near Varna, The Wonderful Rocks in the valley of Luda Kamchia river, The Eyes of God which is located in the cave „Prohodna“ near the village of Karlukovo, Lovech district , and The Marvelous Bridges in the Rhodope Mountains.
All Bulgarian schools can join the program Uchenici.BG to get free hosting and a subdomain. A lot of schools already did it! See more on how to become part of our program!
