The Unlucky Number: or How SuperHosting.BG Turned 13
Hurray, we are now teenagers! As you probably have guessed - in October we turned 13! We wondered if this is a big number of years, whether it's unlucky and what Vicky thinks about this age. You might want to know who Vicky is. We will tell you the answers of all these questions in the following lines.
You have probably heard that the number 13 is unlucky. We even learned that:
- More than 80% of the skyscrapers in the USA do not have a 13th floor;
- The majority of hotels and hospitals avoid numbering rooms or exits with the number 13;
- Some airlines do not have а 13th row of seats.
For us, however, the age of 13 is not related to superstitions. That’s why we asked ourselves:
- Is 13 a big number?
Yes, because those years were full of hard work, many improvements, considerable growth and responsibility to offer the highest possible level of service.
- Is 13 a small number?
Yes, because we still have many projects to implement, a lot of space for your websites, many steps to walk and our full-hearted attitude to offer.
- Is 13 an unlucky number?
It might be if we fear the number. For us, 13 is a Supernumber, since it brought us one more year during which:
- We further improved our services so that our customers are not afraid of “Friday the 13th”.
- We kept delivering services to our customers with enthusiasm and great attitude.
- We were highly praised by you for our SuperSupport which is the greatest reward for us. We promise to keep working the same way, even better!
- We gave away thousands of presents to everyone we met at almost 100 events!
So far so good. Let us now introduce Vicky to you!
Vicky is 10 years old and this summer she did an internship at SuperHosting.BG. You may wonder how come we had such a young intern. This was a challenge not only for her, but also for us. She was not the only one to learn a lot from the team, as she also taught us important lessons. We were shown that no matter what our age was, we shall keep goodness in our hearts and never give up when facing challenges. We saw ourselves through Vicky's eyes. We kept the impressions until now, so that we could share them with you at this point.
We offer a slightly different point of view for our 13th birthday, as seen through Vicky’s eyes. 🙂
- Vicky, what's your opinion about the age of 13?
I think it is a good age. At this point in your life you get more mature and have more freedom, but also responsibilities. When you are 13 you grow up, you become a teenager and this age as every other has its good and bad sides.
- Do you want to be 13 years old?
Well, I am looking forward to growing up and doing whatever I like. I want to make my dreams come true!
- How would you like to celebrate your 13th birthday?
I would really like to party and be with my friends. I would celebrate with special pistachio and spirulina sweets and many other delights. That's how I imagine my 13th birthday.
- What would you like to happen to you when you are 13 years old?
The best present I could get is a sweet little hedgehog and a room of my own. When you get older you need to have some personal space!
- What is it like to be part of SuperHosting.BG’s team?
SuperHosting.BG is a company where people work a lot and are very cool. I think everyone here is in their early twenties although they say they are older. They gave me many interesting and entertaining tasks to do. The company has many different departments such as - Sales, Marketing, Support and many others.
People here treat each other with respect. They tell many funny stories and make jokes to one another. They know how to have fun. People help each other and work as one team. I think this is very important because when you cannot cope with something you know you can count on your friends for help. They make surprises to each other. I was helping to prepare cocktails for the IT day and it was so much fun!
The team told me a lot about hosting and showed me a server. I learned that a server should be always cooled so that it works well. So servers should “live” at a place with good air conditioning. To keep them cool.
This is very interesting and I would like to work here.
So how we celebrated our birthday?
After our interview with Vicky came the time for taking stock and celebrating. For us this year was not unlucky since it showed us we can do more and we can do better. We have Super customers and they deserve to get Super services and attitude!
At the end we are going to show you unique shots from our birthday party. This is only a part of our team who managed to be part of the photograph.
Someone feels like eating cake...
When you try to be serious at a party... Feels like falling asleep...
When you get to know that the party just starts now!
"So are we going to eat this cake or not?"
Vicky’s totally right! We love partying and welcome everything with a smile. As saying has it: „Work hard, party harder.” 🙂
